Rail station

This is a drop in tile to mate up with some 'N' gauge track that I bought.

The shots shows the signal box being fixed to the hex tile and the tile 'dressed' with track and a pile of stone chippings.

Great model - the idea of incorporating railways into my WWI games would create a lot of interesting game scenarios. Fixing the track onto single hexes would provide for a variety of different layouts and configurations using the same pieces.

Thanks Paul, the way I have gone about it is to create a few scenic tiles like the one above and then have rail sections (2 hexes long) in thin strips that form the main part of the track. To make sure they mate up with the scenic tile, the rail sections are on balsa wood, while the track on the scenic tile is glued direct to the tile.

Here is an example of some track.
